Need Information

Hello everyone who reads my blog. If you are a member of the Schippers family, I need your assistance. A few months ago, I emailed my brother's and sister (thanks Linda for your info) requesting a couple of things. Since they all are too busy to help me, I am asking for anyone else's help.

1. I need a list of everyone's birthday's. This includes spouses and children
2. If you've been to Holland, I would like you to email me 1-2 of your most favorite photos from Holland. Please indicate where it was taken.

Email to terriesn@yahoo.com

Sometime around Christmas, you will find out what this is for. You may even be happy you gave this info to me.

Jealousy

Today my phone rang and on the other end was a sweet little voice that said "Hi Oma". I thought it was my sweet little grandson thanking me for the new books I bought him but it was my beautiful little granddaughter instead. She said "Oma, can I come over for a while?" I told her of course but Papa is sleeping to which she replied, "I will be quiet!". I asked her where mama was going and then all of the sudden, Kim came on the phone. Kim said what Aubrey was trying to ask me was if she could come live with me.
The story goes: Aubrey told Kim she was hungry and Kim told her to go look for something and Aubrey said "I don't know what there is" so Kim told her again, Go look and she said "I just don't want to live here anymore" so Kim asked where she wanted to live. Aubrey kept naming names and Kim kept telling her "they don't want naughty girls living with them" and Aubrey said "How about Oma and Papa" and Kim said "Go ahead and call Oma". So Aubrey grabbed the phone and asked Kim what the number was and she dialed it by herself.

I guess she's over it now because I haven't seen them. Kim must have found something yummy to eat. This face says it all. (Lil Orphan Annie dress handmade by me)

Happy 4th of July

For those of you that haven't seen the post Jenny put on Kim's blog for her, Mollie Makenzie Royer was born on July 3rd. She is just so beautiful. Her Brother and sister are so excited and just want to give her so much love all the time. Of course the are fighting over who gets to hold her. I wonder how long that will last.

Mollie Weighed in at 7lb 14 oz and 20.5 inches. Her hair is not as long as Zach and Aubrey had but it is darker and thicker.

Matching outfits for the 4th.

I got a new pretty ball today. It's a little lighter and easier to throw and doesn't hurt my hand. Anyone who wants a 12.2lb purple sparkle ball, let me know.

Dogs are People too

Well, since my daughters post about their kids, I will post about mine. No, not the children I gave birth to but the ones we've adopted over the years. Lovingly referred to as our "kids", and currently "the boys", these adorable creatures are right up there in the ranking along with our grandbabies. Now don't get me wrong, we love our grandbabies beyond words and there is no greater pleasure in the world but we also love our 4-legged kids like they are people.
This is our sweet Addy. She's been gone since Nov of 2002. She was our "Calendar Girl". I submitted a picture of her (not this one) to a national calendar and they used it for October 12, 1998.
This is Charlie. We used to call him the "devil dog" but that name has been passed down now. Charlie is such a sweet boy but he is a cookie-aholic. In order for us to get him to go outside, we have to bribe him with a doggie cookie. Charlie will push and shove to get a cookie or leftovers. He's rather aggressive when it comes to treats so we have to be careful when the grandbabies give him one. When Addy died, I swear that her spirit went into Charlie. From that day on, his face started turning white, he started to act like her, waddle like her and even responds when I accidentally call him by her name.

This is Luke. Luke is the current "devil dog". He is such a daddy's boy. He can't stand it when Brent leaves. He will lay by the door until he comes home. Brent works graveyard shifts and when he is sleeping during the day, Luke is usually right there with him. Luke is the dominant one. If Charlie is getting petted by Brent, Luke will nudge him right out of the way. The only time he isn't "the boss" is when he gets a snack. Even the tiniest fingers can give him a little snack and Luke will be so gentle to slowly take it with his front teeth.

Some people think we are crazy. If you come to our house, you'd better either like our dogs or tolerate them. They were here first! You're the intruder. If you don't like dog hair on your clothes, bring your own lint brush. Don't even think about NOT scratching Charlie behind his ears. He'll nudge his nose into your crotch until he knocks you over if you don't. We sacrifice vacations away from home because Brent doesn't trust anyone with his boys. Not even our adult children. No one can give them the love they deserve. And don't even think they stay outside at night or during the day longer than to go potty. Groomers? Forget it. To put them in a cage is just inhumane! Ahhh, man's best friend!
